Thordis Adalsteinsdottir
(b. 1975) in Reykjavik, Iceland, received her MFA from the School
of Visual Arts, MFA Program, New York. She has been represented by Stux Gallery,
NYC since 2003, Shoshana Wayne Gallery, LA, and Spectra Gallery, Copenhagen.
She has been in numerous international museum exhibits – most recently in XS- Recent Small Scale Painting at HVCCA (11/07 – 2/08) and the Knoxville Museum (3/08 – 9/08).
Thordis has been in some 40 group exhibits including 2008 - Royal College of Art, London; Konstakademien, Stockholm; 2007 – Museet for Nutidskonst Kiasma, Helsinki; Cueto Project, NYC; 2006- Galerie Anne de Villepoix, Paris; National Gallery of Iceland.
