Michael Brown
(b. 1982) is the youngest artist in the auction. He received a BFA from SUNY
New Paltz in 2006. Mike was the only undergraduate along with 15 US grad students included
in HVCCA’s FIRST LOOK II in 2007, selected from over 1,000 studio
visits. He was then included in Ready Made at Yvon Lambert in NYC
in 2007. This June/July 2008 Mike had a one-person exhibit at Yvon Lambert, NYC, People’s Playground, and simultaneously was in group shows at Zwirner & Wirth and Perry Rubenstein Gallery, NYC. Mike is represented worldwide by Yvon Lambert. His extraordinary series of “cracked mirrors” has gone to some of the great collectors and museums in the world.
In the Meantime, the large work at this auction is the last one to be made.
