(b. 1954 San Marcos, Texas) received her MFA from the University of Texas in Austin and was a member of the art faculty department at UT for many years. Her most recent solo exhibits include at the Brownson Gallery, Manhattanville College, Purchase, NY, 2007, Westchester Community College Art Gallery, Peekskill, NY, 2006 and Ceres Gallery, New York, NY, 2005 . She has been in the Peekskill Project in 2005 sponsored by HVCCA and in various group shows in the US, and Europe including at Centro de Arte de Sevilla. She is represented by Ceres Gallery, NYC.

The work in the auction is among her important new series of mixed media works that includes an encaustic process. They explore the interstice of painting and photography, of the natural and surreal, and of the sacred and profane. Her works are in major collections throughout the world.
