Richard Dupont
(b. 1968, NY) graduated from Princeton. He has had solo exhibits in 2008 at Caroline
Nitsch Project Room, NY; Lever House, NY and at HVCCA, Peekskill, Between Stations,
currently on view. Previously he has been in one-person and group shows at numerous
venues including Caren Golden Gallery, NY; Stux gallery, NY,; Tracy Williams,
NY. He is represented by Carolina Nitsch, NY, where he will exhibit November
2008. Dupont’s works have been acquired by numerous public and private
collections including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American
Art and the New York Public Library. The auction work Three
(one time) is
a tableau of three 24 inch tall figures, each distorted slightly along a different
horizontal axis. The figures are exact scaled down versions of "Terminal
Stage," his most important work to date which was a site specific public
art project installed at the Lever House, March through May, 2008. The installation
at Lever House and the artist’s work of the past five years are the subjects
of a new monograph published by Charta and to be released this Fall.
