(b. 1971, Jacarta)  works in Amsterdam. Fendry graduated the Rijksacademie in 2000. He has had scores of solo and group exhibits worldwide including 2008 – Gabriel Rolt, Amsterdam;  2007 – Contemporary Art Space, Amsterdam; Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Spain; The Dowse Museum, New Zealand; Monique Meloche Gallery, Chicago; 2006 Museum Gouda, Netherlands; Bund 18 Creative Center, Shanghai. Fendry together with Folkert de Jong have had numerous dual exhibits under the monikar – “Double Diplomacy.”

The work in the auction is a major piece from his most highly sought city-hotel series.
