Alexander Esters
(b. 1977 Bad Kreuznach, Germany) received his graduate degree in 2004 from Kunstakademie
Duesseldorf where he was in the Master’s classes of Albert Oehlen. He has
had solo exhibits since 2005 at Van Horn Gallery in Duesseldorf where he is represented.
He will be in Skulptur V in Köln in 2009 and has been in numerous museum
and gallery exhibits in Europe. His first work exhibited in the US was at HVCCA in Peekskill, in XXL – Recent Large Scale Painting – 2007-8 - 31 artists from 14 countries including Neo Rauch, Tim Eitel and Jonathan Meese also from Germany.
Alexander’s major work in the auction exemplifies his unique voice and skills – a hand painted canvas (not linocut) in which he has invented an abstract landscape.
