(b.1980 Oregon) received BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2003 and an MFA in 2007 from Yale. 2006, he was a participant at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, ME. In 2006 he won the Skowhegan and Robert Schoelkopf Fellowships. He has been in group shows at Jack Tilton Gallery, NYC; Baumgartner, NYC: Hunter College, NYC; and elsewhere. In 2007 he was one of 16 students selected from over 1,000 US studio visits included in HVCCA’s FIRST LOOK II.

The artist works in oil on canvas adhered to panels. Both paintings included in the auction explore the intersection of abstraction and representation. His works are in major collections in the US and Europe.
