Chris Jones
(b. 1975 Great Britain) received his MFA from Central Saint Martins College of
Art and Design, London. Solo exhibits include 2008 Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary
Art, Peekskill (NY) and Galerie Martin Van Zomeren, Amsterdam where he is represented.
He has been in over 20 group shows including Collective Gallery, Edinburgh; 2007
Bird Watching De Vishal, Haarlem; Galerie Tanya Rumpff; OneTwenty Gallery, Ghent;
Spielhaus Morrison, Berlin; Islington Museum, London. For his artist-in-residence show at HVCCA (through Sept 14 2008) Chris used magazines and books to create a monumental sculpture – a fiery headless horse and macabre carriage. The June 22 2008 Sunday full page NY Times review lauded Jones’ exquisite work.
This major work was made by Chris for the auction.
