Tala Madani
(b. 1981 in Tehran, Iran) currently at the Rijksakademie on fellowship in Amsterdam. She received a 2006 MFA in Painting, from Yale and a BFA from Oregon State University. Recent solo exhibitions were in 2007 and 2008 at Lombard-Freid Projects, NY. In 2009 Tala has a solo show in London. Group exhibitions include two shows at HVVCA: SIZE MATTERS: XXL – Recent Large Scale Painting and XS – Recent Small scale Painting – the later traveled to the Knoxville Museum in 2008.
