Shinique Smith
Born in Baltimore and living in Brooklyn, Shinique is represented by Yvon Lambert
Gallery, NYC. In 2003 she received her MFA from the Maryland Institute of Art.
Shinique has had solo shows in 2008 at Saltworks, Atlanta; in 2007 at Moti Hasson,
NYC, Franklin Artworks, Minneapolis, and Skestos Gabriele, Chicago,; and elsewhere.
Group shows in 2008 include the National Portrait Gallery; Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, SF; Yvon Lambert, NYC; Deutsche Guggenheim, Berlin; Rubell Collection. Previously she was in exhibits at numerous venues including PS 1 and HVCCA in the Peekskill Project.
