(b. 1981, Turkey) received her BFA in 2004 from Cooper Union School of Art, New York. She is represented by Rivington Arms, NY where she has had solo exhibitions since 2005 as well as at Yapiu Foundation, Istanbul (2008) and Finnish Museum of Photography, Helsinki (2007). In 2008 she has been in group shows at Fotographie Forum International, Frankfurt and XVA Gallery, Dubai, and Mogadishni, Denmark, and in 2009 Pilar will be in Photography Now at The Saachi Gallery, London and at Palais des Arts de Lille, Lille, France. Her photography has been reviewed and reproduced worldwide including the NY Times, ArtReview, Art in America, Helsingen Sanomet, and Alef.
