Aaron D. Guadamuz is an animator, musician, and handyman who teaches stop motion animation at AAU in San Francisco and has worked closely with legendary clay animator Bruce Bickford over the last five years. Aaron will discuss Bruce's work and techniques and his influence on the next generation of stop motion animators. There will be a screening of rare and personal footage of Bruce and his work, and a sneak preview of Aaron's latest animated film. The evening will conclude with a live video chat and Q&A with Bruce Bickford from his home in Seattle, WA.
Kickin' and Screenin'" is a video and performance series, which is being held at the museum during the months of April and May. The series features videos and performances by several emerging artists. Each screening is followed by a discussion with the artists. Beer, wine and refreshments served.
Admission: $7.50; students, seniors and HVCCA members: $5.00.
