SPECIAL EVENTS HVCCA participates in the
14th Annual Peekskill Open Studios May 14 & 15 from Noon to 5pm ALL VENUES AND EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.Work by more than 100 artists, 40 in their studios, numerous new public art sites, and special exhibitions in galleries, museums and other venues throughout Peekskill. Get to see the creative process at work first hand with visits to artists' private studios. Open a dialogue with them to discover what drives the creative process. Spend time perusing the special exhibits and professional gallery spaces where even more artwork is on display. Works on display will include traditional and contemporary, paintings, sculptures, video art, photography, installation pieces, ceramics, prints, drawings and silk paintings. The Peekskill art scene is an evolving, changing vibrant community. There are numerous new public art sites throughout the city, which include sculpture, tile, and mural installations including pieces by our Double Dutch artists Daan Padmos, Serge Onnen, and Job Koelewijn installations on the Riverfront Green and Annsville Creek Preserve. HVCCA opens its doors to the public free of charge in honor of Open Studios.' Our current exhibition is 'After the Fall.' Information and maps will be at HVCCA and at the Gazebo corner of N.
